I am Wyatt.
I am a web designer in Phoenixville, PA. While I'm capable of, and have experience in, all forms of design, my specialty is in web design. From email campaigns, online advertising, micro sites to full blown websites, I love to do it. Add to that my experience with social media marketing and a professional blogging resume, you've found yourself an all-around online guru.
About me. I was a Comparative Literature major (good luck finding another one of those) from Penn State, not a designer by education. So what's Comp Lit have to do with web design? Critical thinking. Just as I would analyze a text and look for clues into the reader experience, I now analyze designs and focus on the user experience. Words and pictures are visually different, but the philosophy behind it all is that same, and that's where I separate myself from traditional designers. Sure, I took some classes here and there to develop the hard skills, but being self-taught has distinct advantages. The consumer experience is vital to me and without having pre-taught notions about what is a right and wrong experience, on the job training has taught me to closely evaluate how users interact with designs, and this has developed me and my designs more than any degree could have. My five years of experience, working my way up from Production Artist to Design Manager, speaks to not only my drive, but my reliability. Sometimes you just have to play, right? I'm a canoe and kayak instructor for the American Canoe Association, a hobby photographer, and a home brewer.
